My top five beauty bloggers

Hooray! It's Friday. I thought we'd never get here.

If you're looking for something to fill some downtime over the weekend, look no further than these genius beauty bloggers - but be warned, once you start, you won't stop. Just don't blame me...

Essie Button - this lady is all kinds of cool. She mixes professionalism with a sense of the 'real' - I definitely feel like I could share a bottle of wine with her in no time at all. And, she's Canadian, so even Mr. M. is a fan of this one (he's from Montreal don't you know). Her YouTube channels (one beauty and one lifestyle) are must watch too.

Vivianna Does Makeup / Lily Pebbles - technically cheating, because these are two separate bloggers, but they are besties and work together all the time, so I'm counting them as one. Both have great YouTube channels (here and here) - it won't be Christmas again without vlogmas. Lily is the queen of the bold lip and Anna is the master of 'au naturel' - both are living the dream. They are just about to take their regular feature #beautychat live (at Space NK stores, natch) - check out this link for more details.

Get the Gloss - set up by beauty journalists Sarah Vine and Susannah Taylor, this online magazine has you covered no matter what you're looking for. As well as makeup and skincare, there's also a kick-arse 5:2 section, complete with inspiration for meals and snacks to fill up fast days. There's quite a bit of lifestyle-type advice as well - what more could you want?

XOVain - revealing trade secrets one beauty step at a time, this blog helps you feel good, even if you're aren't the master of all things beauty related. If you don't know how to do the cat-eye flick - fear not, because this site will help. No questions asked. I love it.

Buy Now, Blog Later - first, the name is fantastic. But if that doesn't get you, then the description should: 'I write a blog about shopping. That's about as deep as it gets.' Quite honestly, what else do you need to know? A visit to this site is guaranteed to make you smile - and coupled with smart, informative insights about makeup, skincare and fashion alike, that's enough for me.

What do you think? Who are your top beauty bloggers?
