Skin saving lotions and potions...for the pregnant ones

My skin is shot. Being pregnant with number four, not getting a lot of sleep (thanks to the other three) and working in the city mean my poor face is needing some serious help. As you may well imagine, my skincare and make-up routine needs to be quick and efficient - the days of spending an hour getting ready are long gone. (Seriously, I don't know what I did with time BC.)

I could not be without my Clarisonic. It's not cheap, but it definitely makes a huge difference - well worth the investment. I use it with Dermologica's Daily Microfoliant. I'm a big fan of Clarins Toning Lotion with Iris but No.7's Soft and Soothed Gentle Toner is a good budget alternative.

Face serums are great for me - I'm not great with anything too heavy on my skin, so these are great. I alternate between Lancome's Genifique Youth Activator Concentrate, when I'm feeling flush, and Soap and Glory's Make Yourself Youthful, for when I'm not.

I do use moisturisers - I'm currently very happy with Soap and Glory's 6-in-1 Superboost Moisture Lotion, although one day, perhaps when all the children have left home for good, I'm going to treat myself to Creme de la Mer's Moisturising Soft Cream. One day.

The dark circles under my eyes are not going to be removed by any cream, even a miracle one, but I persevere in the blind hope that one day I'll discover one. In the meantime, I'll keep trying with Origins No Puffery eye gel.

And the absolute life saver that covers all emergencies? Clarins Flash Balm. What would we do without it?
